Our killer front frames are about 15 lbs less than stock STI depending on the options you select on your order. Our front frames have a heavy amount of welding making many tube junctions into I-beam sections which makes these frames ungodly strong. We have many people order raw frames and weld extra locations for aero or skid plate mounts. We appreciate the creativity of our customers and will support custom ideas or mount if you contact us.
These frames are fabricated with several high strength materials such as 4130 tubing, Docol tubing, and Strenx plate. These frames are mig welded and we stand by our product we will repair or replace manufacture failures or work with you if you did unfortunately damage our products.
Options:
Making mounts to accommodate the original steering rack support bracket are not cost effective; it is easier for us to make our own bracket. Make sure to specify what side drive your car is as our frames are handed.
Jack-plate; We offer a 3/16 6061 aluminum skid plate mounted with 4 m10 fine bolts. This is not a skid plate for rally, just a reinforcement and place for a jack to lift your car. And ties front and rear of the frame together for more rigidity.
U-frame mount option, all frames will have the mount off the LCA pocket. The mount is strong, effective, lightweight and no need or reason to delete it. If you’re doing all custom front bracing for a V8 swap or other project. The front U-frame mount we believe is optional if you’re using a factory fitting U-frame or replacement then you need the mount, but if you’re ready to make your own bracing this mount is not needed.
Powder coating: There is a wide range of colors in stock, if you need a custom color visit www.prismaticpowders.com. This option will have added cost, that is for any color we have on hand or you provide. Getting powder coating through us will add another week to your order as this is not an in-house operation. When you do order powder coat please make a note of what color you would like in check out.
