The Geometry Special is a rear frame and T-Bar kit for lowered cars. It moves the differential and every mounting point up 1", and gives you two lateral link positions: 1" and 2" above stock. That corrects both the axle angles and the suspension geometry that lowering throws off. Trailing arm mounts and grade 10.9 hardware are included.
Who it's for
Lowering a car changes its rear geometry in two ways:
- Axle angles. The hubs move up relative to the body, so the axles angle up from the differential to the wheels. Raising the differential 1" brings them back toward level.
- Lateral link angles. The inner ends of the lateral links end up too low relative to the outer ends. The frame's lower lateral link hole sits 1" above stock and the upper hole 2" above stock, so you can bring the links back toward their stock angle to suit how low the car is.
Our Rear Subframe has a second lateral link hole 1" higher than stock, which helps the links, but it leaves the differential at stock height, so it doesn't correct the axle angles. If your car is lowered and you want both fixed, choose the Geometry Special.
Which one do I need?

Options
Extra Chassis Mount
Adds a fifth mounting point at the very top of the frame. It ties the frame into the car more firmly, so the frame and body flex less under load. The mount on the car side has to be welded in. Everything needed is included.
Remove T-Bar
The Geo Special T-Bar is needed to carry the raised differential, so it comes with the kit. Choose Remove T-Bar only if you are making your own diff nose mount on the chassis, which is usually done when a fuel cell replaces the stock tank.
The trailing arm mounts come with the T-Bar, so removing it removes them too. You'll need to make your own or add ours:
- For stock arms or our +2" Trailing Arms: our Trailing Arm Mounts, Rally or Track
- For our XXXL Trailing Arms: their T-Bar Trailing Arm Mounts option
Before you order
Stock gas tank. Because everything sits 1" higher, the frame is very hard to fit alongside the stock gas tank. It can be done, but expect a lot of hammering and reshaping of the tank. We recommend a fuel cell with this frame.
Large one-piece driveshafts. The saddle at the end of the transmission tunnel has to be modified or removed to clear one.

The 2000-2004 Legacy and Outback (BE, BH) are not included, because only our GC/GD front parts fit them.
Common questions
My car is lowered. Is the Rear Subframe with the higher lateral link holes enough?
It corrects the lateral links, but not the axle angles. The Geometry Special corrects both.
Can I keep my stock gas tank?
Yes, but fitting it is very challenging and takes a lot of hammering and reshaping. We recommend a fuel cell instead.
I'm removing the T-Bar. Do I need trailing arm mounts?
Yes. The mounts come with the T-Bar, so the kit has none without it. Use our Rally or Track Trailing Arm Mounts for stock or +2" arms, or the T-Bar Trailing Arm Mounts option on our XXXL arms.
Do I need the Extra Chassis Mount?
No, the frame mounts without it. Add it if you want the frame tied in more firmly and can weld the car-side mount in.
Do I also need your T-Bar?
No. The Geometry Special comes with its own Geo Special T-Bar.
Can I get it powder coated?
Yes, as an option on the product page. Powder coating adds about 2-6 weeks. See Powder Coating.
